Street Fighter 6 DLC Character Rashid Revealed in Official Trailer
After much anticipation, the first DLC character for Street Fighter 6 has finally been unveiled. Capcom released the official gameplay trailer for Rashid, showcasing his moves and abilities, as well as revealing the launch date for later this month.
The trailer starts with Rashid’s Master introduction for the game’s World Tour mode, hinting at how the DLC characters will be integrated into SF6’s story. In addition to new content, Rashid will also have access to his original Street Fighter 5 costume.
The gameplay footage reveals some of Rashid’s new normals and a flashier version of his overhead elbow move. His running dash from SF5 makes a return with new cancel options, including a side-switching slide. Special moves like Spinning Mixer, Whirlwind Shot, and Eagle Spike also make a comeback, along with new moves that showcase Rashid’s agility and power.
Rashid’s level 1 Super Art, the Super Rashid Kick, is a multi-hitting version of his Eagle Spike, while his level 2 seems to be a fresh take on his Ysaar V-Trigger from SF5. The trailer also showcases Rashid’s level 3 Super, where he sends the opponent flying away in a twister and delivers multiple hits before slamming them back down.
Alongside the trailer, Capcom confirmed that Rashid will be released on July 24 as the first DLC character of the Year 1 Pass. However, players will also have the option to purchase Rashid separately. Following Rashid, A.K.I. will be the second DLC character, scheduled for release this Fall. Ed and Akuma will follow in Winter and Spring, respectively.
Capcom also introduced the Rashid Arrives Fighting Pass for Street Fighter 6, offering new unlockable items themed around the character. Players can check out the gameplay reveal trailer and view 4K screenshots of Rashid on the official website.
