The head of the Libyan Relief and Humanitarian Aid Authority, Salem Bouzrida, held a meeting with the member of the House of Representatives for the city of Derna, Intisar Sheneeb.
The meeting discussed “enhancing cooperation between the two sides in the field of humanitarian response and providing support to citizens affected by disasters and crises in the country.”
And during Meeting She reviewed “the efforts made by the Authority in responding to crises, especially in the city of Derna, and the mechanisms followed to ensure that aid reaches those in need. She also discussed ways to enhance the Authority’s capabilities to face future challenges and provide the necessary support to it to carry out its tasks in the best possible way.”
Bouzrida stressed, “The Authority’s commitment to providing all forms of support to affected citizens, pointing to the challenges facing the Authority’s work under the current circumstances.”
MP Sheneeb praised “the efforts made by the Authority in providing relief aid to those affected,” stressing “the importance of continuous coordination between the Authority and other government agencies to ensure that aid reaches those who deserve it as quickly as possible.”
At the end of the meeting, the attendees stressed the importance of cooperation between the Authority and the House of Representatives in order to achieve the goals of the humanitarian response and provide the best services to Libyan citizens.
The meeting was attended by members of the Libyan Relief Agency Management Committee, Hossam Afhimah and Zakaria Al-Maghribi.
