During this meeting, the two ministers decided to form a working team dedicated to the implementation of economic projects, with the aim of consolidating industrial integration. This initiative aims to increase the competitiveness, efficiency and resilience of the industrial sector, while meeting the common aspirations of the two countries.
In a statement to the press, Mr. Mezzour, noted the importance of meeting technological requirements to promote economic growth, create wealth, and increase market shares, both nationally and internationally.
Highlighting the need to strengthen Morocco’s technological sovereignty, the minister spoke of the urgency of modernizing local industries and promoting joint investments to achieve levels of global competitiveness, particularly in the automotive, aeronautics, and agri-food sectors.
For his part, Mr. Al-Khorayef, said that the working team that will be responsible for the collaboration between the two Kingdoms in terms of supply and value chains, will focus on the development of technologies, the exchange of expertise and the training of human resources.
The aim is to create a common working framework to promote industrial integration and increase bilateral trade and investment, he said, stressing that Morocco’s solid industrial base undeniably constitutes an added value for this cooperation.
