New Delhi: Action may be taken against Kerala Blasters coach Ivan Vukomanovic in the incident of withdrawing the team without completing the knockout match against Bengaluru FC. There are reports that the Blasters coach is likely to be banned from the Indian Super League. Meanwhile, Kerala Blasters will not have to pay a huge amount as fine. It is also not clear whether the ban against Evan is for a few matches or a whole season.

Blasters will have to find a new coach if Ivan Vukomanovic is banned for the next season of the Indian Super League. The Kerala Blasters coach had given an explanation to the AIFF that this time the team was withdrawn during the playoff match against Bengaluru FC as a continuation of the protest against the wrong decisions taken by the referee Crystal John including in the last ISL final.

Evan made the announcement in response to a notice issued by the All India Football Federation over the controversy surrounding the ISL football play-off match against Bengaluru FC. Ivan explained that the move to withdraw the team was not only the wrong decision in the one match against Bengaluru. The AIFF Disciplinary Committee has sent a notice to Evan judging that the coach’s interference was the reason why the match had to be stopped halfway through. The AIFF has accused the Blasters coach of defaming football itself.

The Kerala Blasters players returned after the match was suspended after the controversial goal scored by Sunil Chhetri was allowed by the referee during the knockout match against Bengaluru FC. Blasters claim that Chhetri took the free kick before the Kerala Blasters players were ready. But the referee Krystal John Chhetri allowed the goal. With this, coach Ivan Vukomanovic recalled the team. It was later announced that Bengaluru FC had won against Blasters.
