Kuwait City: Kuwait has warned that it is illegal to collect funds in the form of donations for charity and other activities without official permission in the country. Officials said legal action will be taken against individuals and organizations collecting donations without permits.

The move is part of a crackdown on financial transactions linked to suspicious activities. The Kuwaiti Ministry of Social Affairs has submitted recommendations to the Public Prosecution asking them to take legal action against some individuals who have illegally collected donations.
Individuals and organizations are not allowed to collect donations from the public without an official permit from the Ministry of Social Affairs. The authorities have suggested that such permits should be obtained at least one month before the start of accepting donations.
