Strict action if expatriates are caught in beating case in Kuwait; Ministry of Home Affairs with immediate decision to deport the country – NEWS 360 – GULF

Kuwait City: The Kuwaiti government has announced that strict action will be taken against expatriates who are caught in violent incidents. The move is to deport those caught for bad character as part of national security. Kuwait’s news media reported that the government’s proposal for such measures has been handed over to the Ministry of Interior.

The explanation given by the authorities is that the process of deporting those caught in cases of assault and bad character cannot be considered as a violation of human rights. The government’s interpretation is that the permission of the Ministry or the Under Secretary is not required for those who are arrested with proper evidence to cross the country. Those who are deported in this way will face a complete ban from ever re-entering Kuwait. Currently, the Kuwaiti government bears the travel expenses of the smugglers. But in such cases, the deportees will have to bear their own travel expenses. The government is taking new measures in the context of increasing clashes and conflicts involving expatriates in areas including Hawali, Mahboola, Salmiya and Al Rigga in Kuwait.
