Strict Tailgating and Bracelet Bans Issued for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour at Levi’s Stadium

by time news

Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour is set to take place at Levi’s Stadium next week, but fans have been issued a stern warning by Santa Clara police and stadium officials. In order to mitigate traffic issues and maintain crowd control, tailgating will not be permitted during the events. Additionally, individuals without valid tickets will not be allowed to gather in the parking lots or surrounding streets.

The Eras Tour stops have consistently attracted massive crowds, with fans arriving hours before the doors open, even without tickets. To address this issue, officials stated, “Tailgating is prohibited for the Taylor Swift concerts and there will be no designated viewing area outside of Levi’s Stadium. Fans without event tickets will not be permitted to congregate in parking areas or on the streets.”

In a surprising move, stadium officials also tweeted that “bracelets are not permitted in the stadium.” This addresses a tradition among Swift’s fans of creating and exchanging friendship bracelets. The practice, inspired by the lyrics of her song “You’re on Your Own Kid,” has become an integral part of the concert experience.

The enforcement of these bans remains unclear, but the Santa Clara Police Department has stated that they will take an “educational approach” to ensure compliance with the tailgating ban.

In a show of appreciation for Taylor Swift’s impact on the Santa Clara community, the City Council has named her the honorary mayor during her time in the Bay Area. Santa Clara will also temporarily be renamed “Swiftie Clara.” Mayor Lisa Gillmor hopes this proclamation will celebrate the positive local and regional impact of Taylor Swift’s music, tours, and fanbase.

However, it is unlikely that Swift’s temporary title will grant her the authority to reverse the tailgating and bracelet bans. The upcoming shows at Levi’s Stadium will mark Taylor Swift’s third visit to the 49ers’ home ground. She previously performed at the 68,500-seat arena in 2018 for her Reputation Stadium Tour and in 2015 for the 1989 World Tour.
