Strike at the SNCF: RER, Transilien … Traffic forecasts for this Wednesday

by time news

After this day of interprofessional national social movement, “SNCF Voyageurs plans a gradual return to normal tomorrow”, indicates a press release. Disruptions are nevertheless to be expected, in particular on certain RER and Transilien lines in Île-de-France.

National and international TGV traffic will be almost normal, and Intercity traffic “slightly disrupted”, adds the SNCF. But only one out of two trains will still run on RER D and the northern portion of RER B, as well as on transiliens H, R and U. It will also be necessary to plan for 2 out of 3 trains on average on RER C and on lines J , L, N and P.

In transport, the strike was moderately followed at the RATP on Tuesday. On the SNCF side, despite disturbances in the Paris region, there were no major problems on the network.

Asked about a possible continuation of the strike at the SNCF as the All Saints holidays approach, Philippe Martinez declared on RTL: “It is the striking employees who will decide. Like at TotalEnergies”.

The railway workers “are determined”, said on Twitter the secretary general of the CGT-Cheminots, Laurent Brun, for whom the “trend” is in pursuit of the movement. But at the RATP, he should not be renewed on Wednesday, according to Bertrand Hammache (CGT).
