Strike of March 7: “It will be hard” to move, warns the Minister of Transport

by time news

“On March 7, I will be very clear: it will be tough. Asked this Tuesday morning on Sud Radio, the Minister Delegate for Transport assures that it will be difficult for the French to move on March 7, the day of the next major mobilization against the pension reform.

“We are having a discussion, there are unions which have spoken of a renewable strike, others not, companies where it has been mentioned, others not. We will try to avoid it being hard and long, ”explains Clément Beaune at the microphone of Sud Radio.

For the minister, the unions want to make March 7 “a day of strong mobilization”. “There will inevitably be an impact on March 7, he adds, calling on the French to “shift, postpone” their trips. “Telecommuting is better done that way. »

It also calls on “public companies beyond March 7” to organize themselves better to inform, anticipate and limit difficulties”.

But at the RATP and the SNCF, he assures us, “when there is a percentage of strikers, there is not the same percentage of cancellation of metros, buses and trains, because there is voluntary people who work and help to ensure the public service”.
