In an act of protest, the Association of Fuel Transporters (ATC) has decided to paralyze the supply of fuel from this Monday until Wednesday, November 15 inclusive.

This measure is carried out in direct response to the decision of the national government, reflected in URSEA resolution No. 517/2023, which establishes the termination, on December 31, of the link between ANCAP and the transport companies in charge of the secondary distribution for more than two decades.

Detail of the fuel supply stoppage

In a forceful act of protest, the Association of Fuel Transporters (ATC) has decided to paralyze the supply of fuel from this Monday until Wednesday, November 15 inclusive. This measure is carried out in direct response to the decision of the national government, reflected in URSEA resolution No. 517/2023, which establishes the termination, on December 31, of the link between ANCAP and the transport companies in charge of the secondary distribution for more than two decades.

The government’s resolution to end the relationship with transport companies, which have played a crucial role in the secondary distribution of fuel for more than two decades, has provoked a firm response from the ATC. According to the statement, the measure adopted is a demonstration against the abrupt termination of an employment relationship that has lasted for more than 20 years.

During this period of stoppage of activities, it is expected that some service stations will experience fuel shortages. The ATC measure seeks to demonstrate the importance of its role in the supply chain and highlight the direct consequences of the government resolution.
