Strong tremor shook the center of the country, did you feel it?

A provisional magnitude 5.2 earthquake occurred this Thursday at 8:52 p.m.

According to the Colombian Geological Service report, the tremor had as its epicenter the municipality of Vistahermosa, in the department of Meta, 14 kilometers from San Juan de Arama and 17 kilometers from Fuente de Oro.

The depth of the tremor was reported as “shallow”, indicating that it was less than 30 kilometers.

The earthquake was felt mainly in Bogotá, in addition to the departments of Meta, Cundinamarca, Tolima, Quindío, Boyacá, Huila, Risaralda, Guaviare, Casanare and Santander.

However, some reports from people who felt it in Antioquia, Valle del Cauca and Caquetá also reached the Geological Service.

Previously, at exactly 7:47 p.m. this Thursday, another slight telluric movement was reported with an epicenter in Dabeiba, Antioquia, with a magnitude of 2.2 on the Richter scale.
