The South City Corporation dismissed 3 people including the driver for negligence in the death of a student of Motijheel Ideal School after being hit by a garbage truck in Dhaka’s Mugda.
This decision was announced in an order signed by the secretary of Dhaka South City Corporation Akramuzzan on Monday (April 29) afternoon.

None of the 3 people including the driver were in the car at the time of the accident. The driver entrusted the driving to another person.
Abu Nasher said that those who were supposed to be in the car as drivers and helpers did not perform their duties that day. Due to their negligence and carelessness the accident happened that day. So a total of 3 people including the driver have been fired.
Mahin Ahmed, a seventh grade student of Motijheel Ideal School, died after being hit by a garbage truck on his way to his friend’s house in Madina Bagh area of Mugdar at around 9:30 pm last Thursday.
13-year-old Mahin Ahmed’s village home is Kishoreganj Bajitpur upazila. He used to live in a rented house with his family in Mugday uncle and nephew street.

According to the order of the City Corporation, the name of the person who was driving the car at the time of the accident is Md. Rubel and the police arrested him. After the accident, Mohin’s brother Mahfuz Ahmed said that his brother was seriously injured after being hit by the garbage truck.
He was rescued and taken to Mugda General Hospital first. Later that night, the teenager was taken to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital where he died.
