Visakhapatnam: Sasikala (20) hails from Annavaram, East Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh. He is studying first year of MCA in a private college in Duvvada near Visakhapatnam. He goes to college everyday by train from his hometown.
In this case, yesterday also he traveled to college by Guntur-Rayagada Express train as usual. Then when it reached Duvwada railway station, the train stopped. Then Sasikala got down from the train. At that time he lost his footing and fell between the train and the platform. His waist was caught between the platform and the train.
The train stopped immediately. After about 2 hours of struggle, the platform was demolished and Sasikala was rescued safely. After that, he was admitted to Visakhapatnam KIMS Government Hospital for treatment. Due to this, the Rayagada Express departed 2 hours late.
