In Villupuram district, a center has been set up to provide free mental health counseling to the students who have suffered a lot of stress due to reasons such as writing low marks and not getting marks in the 10th class plus 2 general papers, to prevent them from leaving home and committing suicide.
Students can access the free government medical counseling center by calling 104 for appropriate counseling. Also, Villupuram District Child Protection Unit can be contacted on 04146 – 290659 and Children’s toll free number 1098 for counseling.
Collector Mohan has said that the parents of the students who scored less in the public examination and did not get the examination should review their children’s examination marks and give advice to those who failed in the examination to retake the examination.
