/ On Thursday, the management of Al-Talaba Club denied the news circulating about Ahmed Salah’s resignation from coaching the Al-Talaba football team, attributing the reason for the team’s negative results to the decline in the performance of some players.

The club’s secretary, Riyadh Mazhar, told Shafak News Agency that the club’s management is surprised by the circulation of such news, indicating that the club is committed to Ahmed Salah until the last moment.

He pointed out that the fault in the negative results of the club’s team is some players and their poor performance and lack of giving as they should on the field, and not Ahmed Salah, who is making a great effort to restore the team and put it on the track of competition and victories.

Mazhar also confirmed that the management and the coach are waiting for the winter transfers to make a major change in the players’ ranks, and to give Ahmed Salah complete freedom to choose his players, especially since the current players were not of his choosing.

He explained that the administration does not only want Ahmed Salah for the first team, but also gives him the authority to build the club’s football and create a base that will support the first team in the future, noting that Ahmed Salah “has a good mentality and possesses a high level of coaching thought.”

The club’s secretary pointed out that the government’s four billion grant will give the club a good chance to pay off debts and completely whiten them, as well as attract high-level players in the winter transfers.

Al-Talaba team tied goalless with Karbala in the tenth round, and also tied goalless with the bottom team in the league, Naft Al-Wasat, in the ninth round. It currently occupies sixth place with 15 points.
