A cell phone cover, made entirely of recycled nylon and equipped with an integrated solar panel that recharges the phone using only the energy produced by the sun was invented by the girls and boys of the “Scarpellini” aeronautical economic technical institute in Foligno. An eco-friendly project that the fifth B of the school, coordinated by Gioia Contini, a teacher of Business Economics, decided to launch on the market at a price of 29.99 euros, even hypothesizing the customer segment to address. A category of consumers considered numerically significant, namely digital native millennials.
The students of the Foligno institute, directed by the principal Federica Ferretti, not only took care of the packaging, an eco-friendly cardboard packaging, but they also developed a territorial marketing plan, identifying the city of Perugia, with its ancient international vocation, also given by the presence of two prestigious universities, as the ideal place to set up the headquarters of RecoveR, the company producing the cover.
The entrepreneurial idea, presented at the ‘Italia Angelucci Baldoni’ award, in its third edition, has defeated – reports the Foligno institute – the competitors of the high schools with a technical commercial focus in the municipalities of Assisi, Bastia Umbra, Foligno and Perugia. For the originality of the project and its attention to a sustainable lifestyle, the twelve students, budding product managers, with their innovative product, called Recover solar cover, compatible with any mobile device, resistant to water and available online, at authorized retailers and in single-brand stores, strategic hubs of the brand.
The award ceremony was attended by Anna Maria Baldoni, sole administrator of the Umbriagas company, the promoter of the initiative, Giulio, Chiara, Giulia and Federica Franceschini, coordinators of the initiative for schools. (ANSA).
