The brave freedom fighters expressed their determination to stay in the field by commenting that BNP-Jamaat is carrying out arson and vandalism by robbing the peaceful movement of students. They said their target is to remove the government from power. They want to destroy the spirit of liberation war. Freedom fighters can never bow down to anti-freedom forces.
Speakers said this at a freedom fighter rally against BNP-Jamaat fueled killings, arson, sabotage, anarchy, violent activities and anti-independence forces in the country in the name of anti-quota movement at Baitul Mukarram South Gate of the capital on Thursday. Freedom Fighters-Labor-Workers-Professional Coordination Council organized this rally.
Minister of Liberation War A. A. M. Mozammel Haque said that the movement of young students was going on peacefully. But from that day when BNP-Jamaat and Chhatra Dal-Shibir started the rampage in the dark of the night, there was no more agitation in the hands of ordinary students. That movement was hijacked and passed into the hands of the anti-independence. Because of this, they have been creating conflict and anarchy for the last three days.
He said that BNP Jamaat is killing, arson and anarchy in the name of quota movement without being able to thwart the elections.
Freedom fighter Shajahan Khan said that the spirit of BNP-Jamaat has entered the movement. Vandalism and arson. Will the students take this responsibility? Who is using the students to cause such incidents? These ghosts of seventy-one will be resisted even with their lives. Freedom fighters do not know compromise. As in seventy-one, if necessary, war will again be fought against the defeated power.
He said, if the talks fail, considering goodwill as weakness, the freedom fighters will give a tough program. Three programs will be held across the country from July 23. The body has been strategically dumped in America’s conspiracy. Everyone should be alert.
Freedom fighter advocate Kamrul Islam said, now the quota movement is being financed. They (students) will not be disappointed by the decision of the Appellate Division. Those who are creating chaos should be resisted. The nefarious activities of the United States against the liberation war must be stopped.
He said that after the government announced the cancellation of the quota, recently a writ was filed challenging the notification. But the government did not accept it. Appealed against it. A full verdict was awaited. Neither the police nor the government gave any hindrance to the students’ peaceful protest against the verdict. But BNP-Jamaat infiltrators entered the movement and desecrated the educational institution by chanting ‘Rajakar’ slogans to the young students.
