BOLZANO. Three students suspended for a week after the fight on Wednesday morning at the Luigi Einaudi professional school, in via Santa Geltrude. «There was already tension in the previous days – admits the director Franco Ramaroli – for events that occurred outside the school environment. Unfortunately they unleashed this anger before entering the classroom and something unpleasant was created. The reasons? Futile, linked above all to the world of social media. But now we are investigating to prevent it
the involvement of people outside the school”. Those who witnessed it spoke of kicks and punches between two groups of boys. A circle was formed involving other students, who in turn “incited” the fight. It all lasted a few seconds, luckily. «The teachers intervened immediately and brought calm, but it is a serious episode and the kids know it», adds Ramaroli. The same day an urgent class council was convened to evaluate the measures. In addition to the suspension with the assignment of tasks, families were activated. «We spoke to them and they understood how important dialogue with their children is. I’m sure it won’t happen again. Projects with external bodies for socially useful activities will soon start, in line with the mistakes made. It is important that during the suspension the kids understand where they went wrong.”
The student gangs
The State Police is searching the entrances of the schools. The agents, in turns, are dividing themselves in front of the institutes at the time of entry (from 7.30 to 8) and exit (from 12.30 to 1.30). The controls were strengthened in light of the latest episodes in Merano – a double brawl at the School Village – and following Tuesday’s violent argument in front of the “Battisti” in via Cadorna. The phenomenon could be bigger than you think: «We believe that the two cases (Bolzano and Merano, ed.) are connected. In the sense that there could be disputes between gangs of kids”, explains the Italian provincial education councilor Marco Galateo
The fight in front of the ITC, according to witnesses, took place between two groups of boys of different origins in which young people from other schools also participated, recalled through appeals on social media. Overall, no significant injuries, but it was close. Because to the scuffle, already serious in itself, there would be added the alarming bragging of some of them to own knives and box cutters: the agents would have identified some of them. «In these hours – continues Galateo – we will take stock of the situation with the superintendent Vincenzo Gullotta and the police commissioner Paolo Sartori. It seems that the various cases that have followed one another in recent days are connected because they are almost always the same groups. I have reiterated several times that we will have zero tolerance towards these facts. Anyone who is against the law must receive a disciplinary sanction, as is already happening with the first suspensions. We will evaluate recovery activities for these with the educators.”
