Another great comeback in world football? According to an Al Cheringito report, Luis Suarez wants to return to Barcelona and is even willing to cut his salary to return in the summer to where he starred before moving to Atletico Madrid. According to the Spanish TV channel, the Uruguayan striker, who is ending his contract in the Spanish capital at the end of the season, and is not expected to continue at Atletico, has already contacted Joan Laporta and Xavi and offered himself.
As is well known, Barcelona are looking to strengthen with the striker and this will most likely happen in the upcoming transfer window. The first priority for the Catalans is the signing of Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski, but if that does not work out, Xavi and Laporta will have to turn to other options, as they do not rule out the option of returning the ex-Blaugrana at all.
Suarez’s goal, despite his advanced age, is to compete another year at the highest levels, to reach the World Cup in Qatar in the best shape. However, the Uruguayan is experiencing a decline in his ability this season, which is something that is indeed taken into account in Barcelona. At the moment the Catalans have told El Fistolero to wait, but they are well aware of his will.
