jpnn.comJAKARTA – The General Chairman of the Democratic Party, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY), continues to issue recommendation letters to the regional head candidates (bacakada) he is supporting.
Most recently, the party with the Mercedes star logo has submitted 60 recommendation letters to regional head candidates at the district/city level.
AHY revealed that the decision to provide the recommendation letter was made after a series of checks were carried out, one of the points looked at was the survey results.
“If we talk once again about the chance of winning, of course we see that at least it is always in the top three (survey). If we determine the candidate pair, it could be very close, there could still be a margin of error,” said AHY at the DPP of the Democratic Party, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Saturday (20/7).
“Only after there is certainty, maybe in the next survey in two weeks, three weeks, then we can read the movement. However, it is not final,” he continued.
AHY explained that on this basis, candidate pairs will be assessed as having the potential to win and will take into account other considerations, namely logistical readiness and the team in the field.
“This is what we see as the potential. If there is no potential to win at all, from the electability factor, the logistical readiness factor, the team’s readiness in the field, it is impossible to pair them,” said SBY’s son.
Not only that, AHY said that the Democrats always provide recommendations to regional head candidate pairs, not just one person.
