Subway and trains will be free in São Paulo on Enem day

Subway, trains and buses that circulate in the metropolitan region of São Paulo will also be free for the National High School Exam (Enem).

The decree was signed this Thursday (2) by governor Tarcísio de Freitas and is valid for the 5th and 12th of November, when the tests will be held. The city hall had already announced free buses.

The measure covers bus services from Empresa Metropolitana de Transportes Urbanos de São Paulo (EMTU) in the metropolitan regions and trains from Metrô, CPTM, ViaQuatro and Via Mobilidade in the capital and Greater São Paulo. Free admission is valid between 9am and 9pm on both test days.

Flow will be evaluated

The state government also informed that the flow of passengers will be evaluated throughout the day to verify the need for reinforcement close to the start and end times of the tests.

SPTrans – the company that manages bus transport in the capital of São Paulo – will reinforce the fleet of some lines that operate on routes that serve test locations and that have a large movement of students.

Users of municipal buses should not pass through the turnstile, boarding and disembarking through the same door.
