The American sandwich chain Subway has ambitious expansion plans in this country. Over the next seven years, more than 70 fast-food restaurants will be opened in Switzerland and Liechtenstein.

This will more than double the brand’s presence in the region, as announced by Convenience House Switzerland AG on Wednesday. They are acquiring exclusive rights to manage and develop all Subway locations in both countries.

“Subway is a well-established, globally recognized brand with dedicated franchisees and a loyal customer base,” quotes Sebastian Becker, the head of Convenience House Switzerland AG. They aim to strengthen Subway’s position and take the brand “to new heights”. (sda/awp)
