jpnn.comJAKARTA – The East West Research Center (TBRC) survey institute is again holding an opinion poll to measure the electoral strength map of the figures who would be candidates for Governor of Central Java in the 2024 regional elections.

From this survey it was found that 54.1 percent of voters in Central Java knew that there would be an election for the Governor-Deputy Governor of Central Java in November 2024, while 45.9 percent of voters did not know that there would be regional elections.

TBRC Executive Director Johanes Romeo said that in the survey there were 1,688 respondents who were asked which figure was most suitable to lead the province of Central Java.

“In the open question, the name Hendrar Prihadi was chosen by 21.4 percent and in second place the name Sudaryono was chosen with a choice rate of 20.1 percent,” said Johanes in a press release, Friday (3/5).

Meanwhile, Taj Yasin Maimoen was elected by 10.3 percent, then Mayor of Semarang Hevearita Gunaryanti Rahayu was elected by 8.7 percent, Dico M. Ganinduto was elected by 7.6 percent.

Furthermore, the two-term Banyumas Regent Achmad Husein was elected by 6.6 percent, Muhammad Yusuf Chudlori by 6.2 percent, Inspector General Ahmad Luthfi was elected by 3.3 percent. And 15.8 percent did not vote.

Johanes revealed that the TBRC survey was held on April 10-21 2024 using a multistage random sampling method with a total of 1,688 respondents spread proportionally across 35 districts/cities in Central Java Province with data collection techniques through face-to-face interviews with the help of questionnaires.

Apart from that, said Johanes, using a closed simulation using a questionnaire regarding the names of figures who would be prospective governors, which was taken from the metadata of the previous survey and given to 1,688 respondents.

Sudaryono’s figure was able to rank second in the TBRC survey for the Central Java Regional Election.
