The sudden death of a young man who ordered chicken and ate it at a popular chicken restaurant in Chennai has come as a shock.
Ranjith hails from the Vyasarpadi Rathinam Street area of Chennai. He has studied BSc Visual Communication and has been directing short films. He went to his friend Giritharan’s private pharmacy on BP Road, Perambur yesterday. There four friends got together and ordered chicken at the famous private chicken restaurant.
Then sit down at the drug store and have everyone eat chicken. After that everyone went home. Ranjith, who went home, said that at around 10 pm, he felt pain in his left side all over his body. He vomited as a result. The family immediately picked him up and rushed him to Stanley Government Hospital. On the way, Ranjit suddenly fainted. Doctors who examined Ranjith at the hospital said he died on the way home. His family has lodged a complaint at the Vyasarpadi police station.
The complaint was filed under Section 174 of the Criminal Procedure Code. Vyasarpadi police are investigating the matter. Only one in four people who ate chicken died. The other three are fine. An investigation is underway into whether there is any problem with the chicken or any other problem for Ranjith.
Police have sent Ranjith’s body for autopsy. Vyasarpadi police said they would know how Ranjith died after the autopsy.
