A retired doctor felt ill and died this morning on a beach in Sardinia. The 68-year-old bather from Quartu Sant’Elena (Cagliari), who suffered from heart disease, felt ill shortly before 10:30 in Colostrai, in Muravera (South Sardinia). According to what was reported The Sardinian Unionthe doctor was chatting with some swimmers when he suddenly collapsed.
The 118 staff’s attempts to resuscitate him were in vain. A patrol from the Costa Rei Carabinieri station intervened on the scene, together with colleagues from the Muravera station. The magistrate on duty at the Cagliari prosecutor’s office ordered the body to be returned to the relatives. (Agi Source)
