Sudden illness, surgeon Marco Lombardi dies

Dr. died on Saturday night at the age of 67, struck by a sudden illness in his home in La Spezia. The Lombardis had created a chain of consumer and industrial laundries and later a business in the mechanical sector. Giorgio Lombardi, father of the deceased, had been president of the Cna Spezzina, the trade union organization of artisans, and a city councilor in La Spezia for the PCI.
