Sudden landslide due to continuous rains – house buried in soil
In a sudden landslide in Sri Lanka, the mysterious incident of four people in the soil has caused shock.
Due to continuous rains in Sri Lanka, a house was buried in the ground due to a landslide in Varakapola-Thumpiliyatta area of Kegala district.
Four people were trapped in it. While one person has been rescued safely, the search for three more who are missing has been intensified.
Heavy rain, flood and landslide warnings have been issued in Sri Lanka.
While there has been significant rainfall in most areas, it has been reported that the low-lying areas of the river valley may be flooded within 48 hours.
There is a risk of flash floods in some areas of Colombo, Kalutara and Gampaha districts.
A landslide warning has been issued in 31 areas of Colombo, Kalutara, Ratnapura, Kegalai, Galle and Nuwara Eliya districts.
21 thousand 888 people have been affected in 11 districts due to the rains that have been falling in many parts of Sri Lanka.
264 people who were in critical condition have been accommodated in safe places in these places.
