Thiruvananthapuram: Despite discussions between KPCC president K Sudhakaran and Leader of the Opposition VD Satheesan for 4 hours yesterday regarding the reorganization of the DCC and the block, an agreement was reached in only three districts. The next round of talks will take place on Monday evening. The KPCC leadership and the Leader of the Opposition had announced yesterday that an agreement on the list would be reached within two days, but it was assured that the reorganization process would take at least a week.

The agreement was reached in Kannur, Kasargod and Wayanad districts yesterday. Kasaragod and Wayanad are small districts with only 15 DCC office bearers. Organizationally large districts like Ernakulam, Kozhikode and Thiruvananthapuram have not started discussions. The discussion, which resumes on Monday, will continue for two more days. It is learned that the list will be announced after that with the approval of the national leadership. In a meeting with the Leader of the Opposition, the KPCC President assured that there would be no group involvement in the DCC reorganization.

Meanwhile, Satheesan expressed his opposition to the news coming from some quarters, both inside and outside the media. Satheesan was provoked by the news that the KPCC president was also estranged from him and that he was the one who was obstructing the reorganization.
