FAJAR.CO.ID, MAKASSAR — Andi Sudirman Sulaiman and his running mate, Fatmawati Rusdi, are scheduled to register as candidates for Governor and Deputy Governor of South Sulawesi on the last day of registration, Thursday, August 29, 2024.
This registration was carried out after the South Sulawesi General Election Commission (KPU) officially opened the registration process for three days, starting from Tuesday to Thursday, August 27-29, 2024.
Fatmawati Rusdi, ensured that they would register right on the last day, or August 29, 2024.
“God willing, we will register on August 29,” said Fatmawati.
Currently, Andi Sudirman Sulaiman-Fatmawati Rusdi are supported by eight political parties with a total support of 63 seats or 9 political parties.
The nine parties are; Golkar (14 seats), Gerindra (13 seats), Demokrat (7 seats), PAN (4 seats), Hanura (1 seat), NasDem (17 seats) and PKS (7 seats) plus non-seat political parties, namely PSI and the Gelora Party.
This great support was driven by the high electability and popularity of both, as expressed by Hasanuddin University Political Observer, Ali Armunanto.
He said that the survey results showed that this pair had strong appeal to many political parties.
“Their high electability in various surveys makes them the main choice for many parties,” said Ali Armunanto.
Ali also emphasized the importance of political networks and the experience of both candidates as additional factors that made the big parties move closer to the Sudirman-Fatma pair.
