jpnn.comJAKARTA – General Chair of For Bejo (For Behind Jokowi) Sugeng Budiono assesses that the Founder of the Haidar Alwi Institute (HAI) R Haidar Alwi has succeeded in maintaining the goodwill of the 7th President Joko Widodo in the eyes of the world.
Because, said Sugeng, the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP) finally admitted the weakness of their research because they had no evidence of the alleged crimes against Jokowi.
According to him, OCCRP’s confession cannot be separated from Haidar Alwi’s criticism and defense.
“We, Jokowi For Bejo volunteers, are very grateful to Bung Haidar Alwi who has succeeded in maintaining Mr. Jokowi’s reputation in the eyes of the world. Thanks to him, OCCRP finally admitted the weakness of its research because it had no evidence that Mr. Jokowi was corrupt,” said Sugeng Budiono, Friday (3/1) .
According to him, Haidar Alwi was one of the first figures to criticize OCCRP’s research after the international organization awarded Jokowi the title of finalist as the most corrupt and organized criminal in the world.
Interestingly, Haidar Alwi’s criticism was the most substantial among the many parties highlighting OCCRP’s research on Jokowi.
Meanwhile, others only defended Jokowi without being able to refute OCCRP’s accusations.
“Bung Haidar Alwi is extraordinary. He was able to reveal the weaknesses and oddities of the research methodology released by an organization like OCCRP. His criticism is grounded and difficult to refute,” said Sugeng Budiono.
