Balachandra Menon and Sukumaran have given Malayalam many films like Utharatratri, Radha Nana Girl, Kalika, Ishta Man Bukara etc. Balachandra Menon shares his memories of Sukumaran in an article written in Kalakaumudi.
‘Sukumaran and I got along well. Our harmony was like ood and paw. When Sukumaran heard the dialogues written by me, the audience felt it was very natural. People even believed that the dialogues in my film were written by Sukumaran himself.
When Sukumaran passed away, I said that I like both Yesudas’ song and Sukumaran’s dialogue. The clarity of the dialogues is also worth noting. And speed to dub. Sukumaran sits in front of the mike, to be dubbed sharturi, with the alertness and valor of a wrestler. I see Sukumaran as one of the fastest dubbing artistes,’ said Balachandra Menon.
