Summer 2023: a period full of motivation for the DIT Gestión group

In the middle of August 2023, summer progresses without truce. A summer full of uncertainty and news: Unusual heat waves, election year in the middle of the season, and thousands of uncertainties before the course that approaches us.

To talk about it we have with us the new CEO and the president of DIT Gestión.

First of all, Jon, why this change?

J: DITGESTION is 14 years old. It is time, especially for a series of activities such as managing a group of travel agencies willing to fight, but also demanding more and more novelties and being a vanguard in the Sector.

We understand that the time for change is coming, 14 years is a lot of yearsand we understand in ‘our reflections’ that we had to put in a new sap, with ‘fresher’ projects and operation.

One of the big mistakes that occurs in session groups as in any company is continuity. At this time and in a sector like ours, we cannot afford the ‘luxury’ of continuing. You have to keep evolving constantly

You Lander, how do you see it?

L: It is true that we are facing a great challenge, throughout this year and at the end of the past DIT Gestión and its management team were fully involved in internal work such as an in-depth reflection on:

– How are we doing
– Where are we going
– Strengths and weaknesses
– Market trends and our
– And a long etcetera

Because of that deep reflection, we got answers. One of them is the need to go giving and contributing a new sap.

It is true that under the direction up to now things have evolved permanently until consolidate ourselves as the leading management group in Spain and among the top three in Portugal, but we believe that DIT Gestión must go further. Within this advance we believe it is very important to change addressing faces.

Nagore, you are the Director of Communication and Marketing, lately in silence, but what has been your role in this whole process?

N: Certainly Lately I’ve been a bit on standbydue to my recent maternity, but this does not mean that I have not equally participated in this process of reflection and assumed my new role with the changes that this entails.

Advertising and marketing are giving a very important change and we must be able to adapt to this new way of communicating.

I fully agree with the results of the study. We must be able to give a turn in forms and people to the DIT projectto continue maintaining it as a market leader.

Jon, is this a withdrawal?

No, far from it. It is not my intention to retire but to establish myself with new tasks, not so much in the direction of the group, but for example in the creation of new projects, adapting objectives, institutional relations… In short, leaving the day-to-day of a group of these characteristics to a team, young, seasoned and dynamic to face new projects.

And when will we be able to see these changes?

J: Really the change is already taking place, we have been with it for a while. But we didn’t want to give it more “noise”. But for example Lander is already serving as CEO againand Nagore, still on leave, reads the guidelines so that her colleagues in the department can carry out their work taking advantage of the news.

Thus, for example, it has been generated a new Price Match Department, aggressive campaigns in the middle of summer, etc. And what awaits us from September is a world full of pleasant and completely new surprises.

This month of August (in principle a month of relaxation for many tourism sectors) is for us a high point of great challenges and implementation of these novelties.
