For several years, Venezuelans have been working in the service of artificial intelligence, from their homes, through online platforms that distribute “tasks” subcontracted by large multinational companies. Most of the time, they annotate data intended for car manufacturers. The very serious economic situation in the country has allowed these platforms to find thousands of workers willing to accept very low wages. But in recent years, conditions have worsened.
