DUBAI: Huge puppets have been erected in major centers of the emirate to herald the arrival of summer celebrations. A falcon swooping down from the top of the Burj Khalifa, donuts flying inside Dubai Frames, a fat duck swimming in the sea at the Marina and a giant watermelon circling the Burj Al Arab are all signs of summer surprises to come.

Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum shared the video of the giant figures on social media. Hidden in the summer surprises are programs that further promote Dubai’s iconic tourist destinations to tourists and residents alike. Unexpected gifts were also prepared as part of the event.
