In order to ensure the security of inhabitants and visitors during the holiday seasonthe Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) capital will implement the “Summer Vacation Operation 2024”.
From this one Tuesday, July 16 and until the August 25th14,387 troops will be deployed in the 16 municipalities of the Mexico City.

For their surveillance tasks, the uniformed officers will be supported by a thousand 85 official vehicles, 30 motorcycles, a crane, 12 ambulances y 10 motorcycle ambulances of the Rescue and Medical Emergency Squad (ERUM)as well as a helicopter from the unit Condors.
During this period “it is will reinforce patrols in the 16 municipalities and special attention will be paid to shopping areas, banking and of ATMs; restaurants, family entertainment venues such as cinemas, theatres, forests and gardens,” the Secretariat reported.

The surveillance in the four bus terminals and the Buenavista Suburban Train Terminalas well as the tourist corridor of Historic center, Reforma Walk, Santa Fe areas, Polanco y Xochimilco, pilgrimages and markets.
Additionally, the police presence in the 183 Metro stations and in the Modal Transfer Centersand traffic operations will be reinforced to avoid violations Traffic Regulations.
