A day with a continuation of the heat wave, but with a lot of rain. This is how the weather forecast for Brazil can be defined this Sunday, 17th.

According to the National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet), this Sunday will be one of high temperatures. This will happen, above all, between the capitals. Of these cities, only Florianópolis will have a maximum temperature below 30ºC — 28ºC in this case.

Still in relation to the Sunday heat among the state capitals, the highlights go to Cuiabá and Porto Alegre. In the largest city in Mato Grosso, thermometers are expected to register 41ºC at some point during the day. For the city of Rio Grande do Sul, the weather forecast indicates a maximum of 40ºC. Campo Grande and Boa Vista will have a maximum temperature of 39ºC.

But even with the high temperature, the capital of Roraima will have a rainy Sunday, according to the weather forecast. According to the Inmet, Boa Vista will have a morning with isolated rain showers. The weather condition, however, will change throughout the afternoon and evening, with no new rainfall recorded.
Boa Vista, however, will not be the only state capital to face water accumulations. This Sunday morning, rain is also expected to fall on six of the seven capitals in the North Region — only Palmas is expected to have firm weather during this period of the day. In addition, Rio Branco and Porto Velho will have thunderstorms. Finally, precipitation tends to occur in five northeastern capitals: São Luís, Natal, Maceió, Aracaju and Salvador.
In the afternoon, the rain spreads to more capitals. According to the weather forecast, this will happen in at least 19 of them:
Porto Alegre; Florianópolis; Curitiba; São Paulo; Rio de Janeiro; Victory; Aracaju; Maceió; Recife; Strength; Teresina; São Luís; Palms; Bethlehem; Macapá; Manaus; White River; Porto Velho; and Cuiabá.
In comparison with the afternoon period, there will be three “lows” on the rain map forecast for the end of this Sunday. This is because Cuiabá, Recife and Fortaleza will have steady weather during the night.
