Super Bowl, Kansas City Chiefs

by time news

About 123.4 million people watched the Super Bowl matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers on TV and streaming services, preliminary figures show.

That makes the match the most watched Super Bowl match ever, after a new record was also set last year, when with 115.1 million viewers, according to CBS, which refers to preliminary figures from the media research company Nielsen.

The figure includes people who watched the game on CBS or Nickelodeon in the US and via streaming services such as Paramount+ and NFL+. That doesn’t include people who watched the game together in restaurants or bars.

Final figures are expected on Tuesday. The game was won by the Kansas City Chiefs, who became Superbowl champions for the second year in a row and the third time in five years.
