Nintendo has rolled out its first patch for Super Mario Party Jamboree, just one day ahead of the game’s official release for those who have the game pre-installed.
The version 1.1.0 update addresses several bugs, enhancing the user experience ahead of the launch.
Patch Notes for Super Mario Party Jamboree (Ver. 1.1.0 – 16th Oct 2024)
- Fixed a bug where the count of times you’ve landed on an Unlucky Space resets when resuming from a suspended save in Mario Party.
- Resolved an issue where items appearing in Sky-High Cannons are positioned above the cannon, preventing players from obtaining them.
- Corrected a bug that caused the game to crash when the Nintendo Switch is undocked during the reward screen after clearing Area 10 of Toad’s Item Factory.
- Fixed a problem where re-clearing Area 10 in Toad’s Item Factory did not trigger the Party Points animation, resulting in no point acquisition.
- Other minor fixes to improve gameplay experience.
Our review of Jamboree praised Nintendo’s latest title as “the best Mario Party to date.” High praise indeed!

Expert Discussion
To provide insights on the latest update and the game’s reception, we invited several guests:
- Dr. Sarah Lee, Game Design Expert
- James Connor, Gaming Journalist
- Lisa Trent, Nintendo Enthusiast and Streamer
Discussion Highlights:
Jim Norman: What are your thoughts on the significance of patches like these for games right after launch?
Dr. Sarah Lee: It’s essential. Early patches show that the developers are listening to feedback and care about the player’s experience.
James Connor: I agree, but it raises questions about the state of the game at launch. Shouldn’t these issues be resolved before release?
Lisa Trent: As a player, I appreciate the quick response. Nobody wants to encounter major bugs as they start a new game.
Jim Norman: Do you think players are more forgiving of these bugs due to the fast patch response?
James Connor: Definitely. A quick update can help retain player trust. However, it can’t be a consistent practice.
Dr. Sarah Lee: Exactly. While players may accept minor bugs in the initial stages, long-term trust hinges on developers’ commitment to improvements.
