At the first place in the 4×7.5 km relay, which ended the Bulgarian participation in the World Biathlon Championship in Nove Mesto (Czech Republic), 22-year-old Blagoi Todev has shown that he is definitely regaining his good form.

This is evidenced by the detailed statistics from the competition.

With a very good running pace and quick shooting, the boy from Bansko was only 27.8 seconds behind the surprise winner of the first post, Rene Tsahkna from Estonia. At the same time, Blago reloads once for both shots.

In front of Todev, 6th with 4.3 seconds faster and the same indicators is the Swede Victor Brand, who became the world champion with the Scandinavian quartet.

In principle, the first post in relays can be considered as a separate race, since all participants have (almost) an equal start. It is because of this that Todev’s performance can be called super.

Anton Sinapov also deserves admiration. At the second post, the Chepelarian for the first time in a long time took down all 10 targets to pass the baton 12th.

Vasil Zashev (21) and Konstantin Vassilev (20) are also to be commended as they managed to avoid closing our relay which finished 18th out of 24 quartets.

Vladimir Iliev, our best biathlete, was not in the box because of the consequences of a cold.
