The expansion introduces additional playable units and weapons that enable crossover combo attacks and combat animations featuring original scenarios not found in the source anime. According to the company, the pack includes 33 additional area missions—consisting of 25 main story and 8 frontline missions—along with 12 weapon types, five playable units, one additional assist crew member, and a specific bonus mission for purchasers.
The expansion features units from five different titles: STAR DRIVER THE MOVIE, Cross Ange: Rondo of Angel and Dragon, THE IDOLM@STER XENOGLOSSIA, Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack – Beltorchika’s Children, and Space Runaway Ideon.
Free Update and Game Mode Changes
A free update (ver1.4.0) is scheduled for release on August 4. This update is required for continued play and introduces several additions, including a 35th-anniversary mission and a mission commemorating the series surpassing 20 million cumulative units sold. The CONGRATULATION 35th!

Promotions and Additional Announcements
To mark the expansion’s launch, the digital versions of Super Robot Wars Y will be discounted by up to 42%. The sale includes the standard digital versions for Steam and Nintendo Switch, as well as the Digital Deluxe Edition for PlayStation 5, which contains the DLC 1&2 Set.
Sale periods vary by platform, beginning July 24 for Steam and July 29 for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch.

Bandai Namco also confirmed the production of a remastered version of the 2011 PlayStation Portable strategy RPG, Super Robot Wars ZII: Ruination Remastered (also referred to as 2nd Super Robot Wars Z: Hakai-hen Remaster). While a release date and platforms have not yet been announced, the remaster will feature multiple language support and a localized release.
