The 2024/25 season will officially begin in Portuguese football. This Saturday (3), Sporting and Porto will face off at 16:15 (Brasilia time) in a match valid for the final of the Supercup of Portugal. How Sporting arrives

Sporting comes off a convincing victory over Athletic Bilbao, winning 3-0, which secured the friendly trophy Cinco Violinos. Additionally, before the triumph over the Basque club, the Lions defeated Sevilla 2-1 and drew against Saint Gilloise from Belgium 2-2.

However, Sporting will be missing several players for this Saturday’s match. Thus, Nuno Santos and Matheus Reis will be absent for coach Rúben Amorim.

How Porto arrives

On the other hand, Porto comes off a thrashing of Al-Nassr, a team from Saudi Arabia that includes Cristiano Ronaldo, with a score of 4-0. Previously, the Dragon had defeated Sturm Graz from Austria in another preseason friendly.

At the same time, Francisco Conceição and Galeno, important players for the team, are doubts for the Supercup final.
