The new members of the Superior Council of the Judiciary were received in audience, this Friday, April 7, 2023, by the President of the Transition, HE Colonel Assimi GOÏTA, Head of State. It was about their making contact with the President of the Superior Council of the Judiciary.

At the invitation of the President of the Transition, the new members of the Superior Council of the Judiciary were received at Koulouba Palace. “We were elected members of the Superior Council of the Judiciary and since then we had not made contact with the President of the Transition. This morning, we were invited for this purpose”, confided to the press Aboubacar GUISSE, Spokesman of the elected members of the Superior Council of the Judiciary, on leaving the hearing.

This contact was an opportunity for the magistrates to express certain concerns, in particular problems of discipline, training, internal rules and the need to carry out transfers.

Also, this contact was an opportunity for the members of the Superior Council of the Judiciary to express their support for the draft Constitution.

“The President of the Transition reassured us of his support, of his support for the judiciary. He told us that in Mali, there are two major problems: the system and the man. The system has already been put in place to bring the Mali boat to port, so now we need the right men in the right place,” reported Aboubacar GUISSE, Spokesperson for the elected members of the Superior Council of the Judiciary.
