The Russians said what they intend to spend the “thirteenth” salary, which is paid on New Year’s Eve. According to a survey conducted by SuperJob service specialists, 20% will spend the New Year’s premium on repaying loans and returning debts.
According to the survey, the respondents will be allocated funds as follows:
- 12% – save money for future income or invest it;
- 20% will be spent on paying off loans and repaying debts;
- 11% – for vacation / travel;
- 11% – for a family;
- 10% – for gifts;
- 7% – for repair / improvement of housing / purchase of furniture;
- 6% – for current needs;
- 3% – for education / training;
- 2% – for the purchase of a device / gadget;
- 1% – on goodies / delicacies;
- 1% – for household appliances.
Another 9% of those surveyed said they would spend the funds for other purposes. Among them – charity, medical treatment, buying a car, buying clothes, sports equipment, hobbies, etc.). Another 4% of respondents found it difficult to answer this question.
According to the latest data from a survey conducted by Rabota.ru service, about 65% of employers plan to issue a bonus to their employees at the end of 2021. Another 29% of respondents answered that they would pay a bonus only to some employees, and 35% said they would abstain from New Year’s payments this year at all.
