Our currency is fluctuating around $18.85 pesos per dollar at midday according to Investing indicators.
In the morning, the day began by touching a high of 19.06 units per dollar, with an appreciation of 0.87% or 16.6 cents, trading at around 18.86 pesos per dollar.
With this, the peso has accumulated two consecutive sessions of appreciation, advancing 1.13% or 21.5 cents, partially correcting the 1.28% drop of Monday’s session.

The appreciation of the peso this morning is due to the publication in the United States of consumer inflation for July, which stood at an annual rate of 2.89%, slowing for the fourth consecutive month and reaching its lowest level since March 2021, when it stood at 2.62%, according to Banco Base.
On a monthly basis, inflation stood at 0.15%, slightly below the market expectation of 0.20%.

Likewise, core inflation, which determines the trajectory of general inflation in the medium and long term, stood at 3.17% annually, linking 4 months of slowdowns.
