Due to the rainy season, a large sinkhole was created at kilometer 22 of the Comalapa highway. This morning, teams from the Ministry of Public Works are laying pipes using the pushing technique.
“On the highway to Comalapa we began with topographical activities to stabilize 25 slopes,” Minister Herrera.
This technique reduces the work area to generate the least possible impact on traffic on this road.
These actions serve to guarantee connectivity, mainly on the roads that drive tourism and trade in the country.
Fovial carries out a preliminary survey of the area to be worked on in order to design and propose the type of work to be carried out.
Starting with:
- Installing 60 inch Push Pipe
- Reebsteel 80 inch pipe installation
- Masonry works
- Installation of grade 60 structural steel
- Supply and installation of two-ridge Flex Beam
- Supply and placement of black grass
“The work will last for 60 days. In this way, we will guarantee connectivity in the area,” said Minister Rodríguez.
