Agriculture Adviser Lieutenant General (Retd.) Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said that good seeds should be supplied to increase production. The seeds that go to the farmer should be of good quality. If the seed quality is not good, the crop will not be good.

He said these things during an exchange of views with the heads of departments/organizations under the ministry in the conference room of the Ministry of Agriculture at the Secretariat on Wednesday (August 21).

Regarding fertilizers, the agricultural advisor said, there is no problem with fertilizers. But, it has to be ensured that the fertilizer reaches the farmer on time. Supply chain needs to be fixed.

The adviser on agricultural mechanization said that in the field of mechanization, the issue of employment of farmers should also be taken seriously.

Stating a strict stand against corruption, he said corruption will not be tolerated in any way. No recommendation will be accepted for any corrupt person. Farmers are deprived due to corruption. Farmers do not get price for middlemen and dishonest class. The student movement is not only an anti-quota movement, it is also an anti-corruption movement.
