Supply of modern weapons to Taiwan in response to China’s threats; US Notice

by time news

Washington: China claims Taiwan as an integral part of its country. To challenge that, US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi traveled to Taiwan last month. China strongly objected to this. In addition, it is engaged in military exercises around the country in order to threaten Taiwan. At the same time, US President Biden is also relentlessly sending his country’s delegation of MPs to Taiwan in order to provoke it. Also, Taiwan has been sending its warships to the strait to provoke China.

In this case, in response to China’s threats, the United States announced yesterday that it will provide Taiwan with state-of-the-art military equipment worth Rs. 8.8 billion. State-of-the-art fighter jets, Harpoon-type anti-ship missiles, mid-air anti-missile missiles, radar surveillance systems etc. are being provided. China strongly objected to this arms supply. It has urged the United States to stop this arms aid.
