All but one of the countries at the NATO summit unequivocally expressed their support for providing Ukraine with everything it needs to defend itself, Czech news agency ChTK reported, as quoted by BTA. The President of the Czech Republic, Petar Pavel, said this at the closing press conference yesterday after the meeting of the leaders of the countries of the alliance. He then specified in his post on the X social media that all countries except Hungary have committed to continue supporting the attacked country.

According to the Czech head of state, politicians have discussed in detail how Ukraine can be helped to counter Russian aggression. “I think that despite the initial uncertainty as to whether the wording of the document, as well as individual speeches, would express strong enough support for Ukraine, it turned out that the aid to Ukraine is really very strong,” the president noted. Kiev’s success is of vital interest to the West, he added.

According to Pavel, the Russian plan to kill the head of the German arms production company “Rheinmetall”, which was revealed by the USA and Germany, is another proof that Russia has decided to wage not only an information war against the West, but also hybrid war.

“If anyone doubted that these actions were coordinated, well-prepared, but also directed from the highest levels in the Russian Federation, these actions clearly confirm that this is the case,” the president said.

There is no doubt that China is Russia’s biggest supporter, especially when it comes to technologies it lacks, Pavel said after the NATO summit. According to him, if China had not supported Russia so strongly, the course of the war in Ukraine would probably look very different.

In a joint statement, the leaders of the countries of the alliance pointed out that China is a “critical factor” supporting Russian aggression. NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said after Wednesday’s meeting that Beijing was allowing Russia to continue its invasion by supplying it with dual-use technology, particularly microelectronics that is used for high-tech weapons systems. The head of the alliance said it was up to the EU and other institutions whether they would impose sanctions on China.
