jpnn.comJAKARTA – The candidate pair for Governor and Deputy Governor of West Java, Ahmad Syaikhu-Ilham Habibie (ASIH), has been officially supported by the Prosperous Justice Party and the NaSdem Party.

PKS spokesman Muhammad Kholid said the pair would register with the West Java General Election Commission (KPU) on Thursday (29/8).

“God willing, on Thursday, August 29, the Ahmad Syaikhu-Ilham Habibie pair will be registered with the West Java KPUD,” said Kholid in a statement received in Jakarta, Wednesday (28/8).

He hopes that the complementary ASIH pair can win the 2024 West Java Pilkada in order to bring progress and blessings to the people of West Java.

“God willing, this is a pair that combines leadership qualities that meet the criteria of imtaq (faith and piety) and iptek (science and technology), who have integrity, capacity and excellent religiosity,” he said.

It is known that on Wednesday (28/8) this couple made a pilgrimage to the tomb of the Third President of the Republic of Indonesia, BJ Habibie, at the Heroes Cemetery, Kalibata, Jakarta, before registering themselves with the West Java KPU on Thursday (29/8).

Ahmad Syaikhu has been the President of PKS since 2020. Syaikhu has pursued a political career by becoming a member of the Bekasi City DPRD, the West Java Provincial DPRD, a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives, and even served as deputy mayor of Bekasi.

Meanwhile, Ilham Akbar Habibie, who is the son of the 3rd President of the Republic of Indonesia, BJ Habibie, is an innovator, technocrat, scientist, and successful entrepreneur in the technology sector who studied in Germany and the United States.

Ahmad Syaikhu-Ilham Habibie (ASIH) has been officially nominated by the Prosperous Justice Party and the NasDem Party in the 2024 West Java Regional Election. Register with the West Java KPU tomorrow.
