Located in the rural commune of Moulay Abdellah in the province of El Jadida, this health center offers these services after having benefited from rehabilitation and equipment as part of the third phase of the INDH, this royal project which aims to improve the living conditions of citizens.
In this context, the head of the Social Action Division in the province of El Jadida, Hakima Errai, stressed in a statement to MAP that the third phase of the INDH 2019-2023 included several new features compared to the first two phases, in particular the establishment of four programs, the last of which concerns the Boosting of the human capital of rising generations, with a focus on maternal and child health.
Regarding this last axis, continued Ms. Errai, several health centers and maternity hospitals in the province have been redeveloped and equipped, including the Sidi Bouzid health center, established in 2019 for an envelope of 1 MDH, and which benefits more than 51 thousand people.
In a similar statement, the head physician of the Sidi Bouzid hospital center, Khalid Ben Abdelkader, indicated that the commune of Moulay Abdellah has 3 dispensaries, the first in the center of the commune, the second in Douar El Ghadban and the third was created in 2007 in Sidi Bouzid, and was rehabilitated and equipped by the INDH in 2019. Mr. Ben Abdelkader noted that the center mainly focuses on the prevention of chronic diseases, pregnancy monitoring, and vaccination of mothers and infants.
For her part, Nadia Fatih, a nurse at the Sidi Bouzid center, noted that the rehabilitation and cutting-edge equipment allocated to this health structure have contributed to better serving residents, particularly patients, women and men, who come from neighboring douars.
El Hassania Abidi, a resident of the village of El Bahara in the commune of Moulay Abdellah, said that this center has helped reduce the travel costs of citizens, especially women, who previously had to go to health centers in the city of El Jadida.
It should be noted that the rehabilitation and equipment operation of this center aims to bring health services closer to citizens, to remedy infrastructure gaps, and to provide essential services, particularly for maternal and child health.
